Athena Goddess Round – VIP Volunteer Match Day Experience Date: Saturday 15 August Time: From 2:30pm (prior to the Senior Men's match) Location: Litis Stadium Boardroom As part of Athena Goddess Round, we are proud to recognise and celebrate the incredible women who make football happen at Floreat Athena. This invitation-only event is our way of saying thank you to the female volunteers whose passion, commitment and countless hours help create opportunities for our players every week. Guests will enjoy: A VIP balcony viewing experience for the Senior Men's match Light refreshments Drinks courtesy of Howard Park The opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers from across the club Recognition of the invaluable contribution made by the women who help our club thrive Athena is the goddess of wisdom, courage and strength - qualities reflected every day by the women who coach, manage teams, serve on committees, support match days and contribute behind the scenes. We are honoured to celebrate your contribution and thank you for everything you do for Floreat Athena Football Club. Gaining Ground – Wellbeing in Sport Workshop Date: Thursday 13 August Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (Pizza from 6:00pm) Location: Litis Clubrooms, Floreat Athena Join us as we launch Athena Goddess Round with an evening dedicated to celebrating and supporting the girls and women of Floreat Athena. Open to all female players in our U10s and up, Gaining Ground is an engaging wellbeing workshop designed to empower young female athletes with the confidence, resilience and skills to thrive both on and off the field. The evening will begin with complimentary pizzas from 6:00pm, providing an opportunity for players to meet, connect and enjoy dinner together before the seminar commences at 6:30pm. The event will also mark the official launch of the Athena Goddess Wall—a visual installation celebrating the stories, experiences and achievements of the girls and women of Floreat Athena. Throughout Athena Goddess Round, players will be invited to contribute by sharing what football means to them and their own football journey. Who can attend? Female Floreat Athena players in our U10s and up Parents and guardians are welcome to attend Cost: Free Registrations are essential for catering purposes. Come along, connect with other players, enjoy a meal together and help us launch a special celebration of the girls and women who make Floreat Athena such a strong football community. ⚽ FAFC MiniRoos Football Mastery – July School Holidays (U9–U12) Ages: Under 9 to Under 12 ( for kids turning 9, 10, 11 & 12 in 2026) Dates: 6 - 9 July Time: 10:00am – 11:15am Location: Litis Stadium Cost: $150 Sessions: 4 × 75-minute high-quality training sessions Led by our Technical Director, Mark Jones, prepare your MiniRoos for the season ahead with football development that complements their ongoing pathway at Floreat Athena. At the U9-U12 stage, players are progressing through the Skills Acquisition Phase - where technique, decision-making and game understanding become the building blocks for future competitive success. This program is open to all players - current Athena players, those joining the club this season, and families who would like to experience our development environment for the first time. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with our coaching philosophy and see what the Athena pathway looks like in action. Over four focused sessions, players will: • Enhance ball mastery, passing, first touch and movement • Build confidence under pressure through game-based training • Improve positional awareness and teamwork • Sharpen fitness and technical consistency ahead of the season Included: 👕 Football Mastery training top (issued once per year at the player's first session of Football Mastery) Size will be given based on general age group. If your child is substantially bigger or smaller than standard sizing, please email junioradmin@floreatathenafc.com.au . Requirements: • Football boots • Shin pads • Water bottle ⏰ Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the start of the session. Give your child a head start - keep them active this school holidays and ready to shine on match day. Supervision & Safeguarding Parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to remain at the ground during sessions. While U9–U12 players may be dropped off provided a parent/guardian remains contactable, Floreat Athena promotes a visible and supportive sideline environment in line with our child safeguarding and club values. All players must be collected in person from the ground at the scheduled finish time.

It’s a relaxed and positive way to experience Athena football during the school holidays. Across four engaging sessions, participants will: • Learn fundamental skills - dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting • Develop coordination, confidence and spatial awareness • Play small-sided games that make learning feel like play • Build friendships and enjoy being part of a team environment Included: 👕 Football Mastery training top (issued once per year at the player's first session of Football Mastery) Size will be given based on general age group. The wait is over. Floreat Athena FC - the oldest Greek-Australian soccer club in the nation - is celebrating its milestone year with a Gala marked by the launch of its 75th anniversary commemorative book "Athena: Wisdom and Protection", written by the highly esteemed Perth based historian Dr John Yiannakis OAM. Come wine and dine with us as we nod to the past and acknowledge the people who built an icon in Western Australian sporting history.  The event will be marked with emotional and humerous stories of yesteryear coupled with a tantalising three course meal, including a decadent dessert buffet, matched with two bottles of wine on every table with a small selection of beers and soft drinks.     This event will feature local dignatiries, high profile past players and a host of members far and wide looking to celebrate a club that has unearthed Socceroos, champion players and provided decades of roller coaster emotions that only football can deliver!   Female Football Round – Register to Be a Mascot 💜 Female Football Round THIS FRIDAY Floreat Athena is proud to support Football West Female Football Round, to celebrate and honour the amazing girls and women that contribute to our club. Join us on Friday 8 May when Floreat Athena takes on Subiaco AFC at home (7:00pm kick-off) with our first team players will be wearing a touch of pink. We would also like to invite our girls to walk out onto the pitch with the players. Pink socks will be provided (if you don't have them already) to wear. We have a limited number of spots available so its first in best dressed. Register below . Players should meet at the new changerooms at 6:45pm sharp wearing their blue game day kit and pink socks if you have them. Families are encouraged to stay for the match - wear pink, bring the family, and get behind the club as we celebrate Female Football Round together at Floreat Athena.

Thinking about joining football at Athena in 2026? Our Clusters Have-a-Go Day is the perfect opportunity for new and returning players to come down to LItis Stadium, meet our coaches and volunteers, and experience what junior football at Athena is all about. This session is designed for players in our 6s, 7s and 8s Clusters program and is open to both boys and girls of all abilities. Whether your child is brand new to football or has played before, this is a relaxed and welcoming session focused on fun, skill development and game-based activities. Our Clusters program is perfect for kids turning 5–8 in 2026 and is open to both boys and girls of all abilities. It’s all about fun, confidence and learning the game in a supportive environment. Girls playing mixed football also have the flexibility to play in their age group or one below, ensuring the best fit for their development. Summer has finally arrived and before all the chaos and joy of the festive season kicks in, your Floreat Athena Football Club is hosting the social event of the year.  A Christmas Seafood Night fundraiser will be held on Saturday December 6, to get you into the festive mood. A delicious array of DONATED fish, calamari, roasted potatoes, and prawns will be complimented with a tasty offering of mixed dips, olives, salads and bread.  Tickets are $40 for Adults and $20 for children 16 and under. We'll have lights on the main pitch for a kids kick around and word on the street is Santa might even be making an appearance!  So go on get your family and friends together and come down and celebrate Athena style - all proceeds raised will go towards funding Athena's junior equipment. The Management Committee of Floreat Athena Soccer Club Inc. give notice of: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2025 To be held Wednesday 24 September 2025, commencing at 6.30pm. at the at the clubrooms of Floreat Athena Football Club, 41 Britannia Rd, Mount Hawthorn WA 6016. In the case that a quorum of members is not present after 30 minutes, the Management Committee gives notice that the meeting will be adjourned to the following Wednesday, 1 October 2025 at the same time and location.
